Experience in media organisations

I had the pleasure of working alongside Theo during our stint as Broadcast Editors for Cherwell, in which time he showed himself to be an extremely passionate, dedicated and thoughtful team leader with impressive organisational skills to boot!

Theo has conducted a wide range of placements in media organisations all over the UK, as well as having wide-ranging experience in print, radio and video.

His work as Broadcast Editor of Cherwell is from his first-year at University, where there are selected videos to watch of him at the bottom of this page.

The photo (right) is from his own production of Question Time with senior political figures such as Leanne Wood (Leader, Plaid Cymru) and Jane Hutt (former Cabinet minister, Welsh Government). This was broadcast in 2015, and was an event he co-ordinated alongside Herald Media in South Wales.

Theo has helped me on a number of assignments including some high profile interviews. I found Theo to be well mannered, hard working and able to work to a brief as part of a small team and independently. I would not hesitate to recommend Theo for any media related - journalistic work.

Theo is also experienced in professional working environments: he has had work placements at a number of media companies, too. These include: Tinopolis; Wales & CoBBC Wales NewsITV WalesWalesOnlineMADE TV; and Herald Media

Theo was one of only twenty students selected for News UK's summer school in 2015. His blog from the experience at News UK can be read here.

During Theo's work placements he has written and researched news stories, produced briefing notes, trained on internal servers and shadowed reporters and producers on a wide range of tasks.

For Cherwell, Theo went to Trinity College to discuss the events of their Matriculation ceremony.
